About me

Hi there, and welcome to my online shop. I’m Rosie, originally from Co. Wicklow in Ireland, I now live in South Queensferry near Edinburgh in Scotland. 

 

I enjoy making wheel thrown and slab built pottery pieces from my home studio. Each piece I make is handmade and therefore unique in itself.

 

Having attended pottery classes over a few years at Edinburgh Ceramics Workshop learning from the very talented Tricia Thom, I went on to became a member there for a while. I then attended further pottery classes directly with Tricia at her home studio over a further couple of years. My love of making grew more and more and at the end of 2019, I invested in my own equipment and had a studio built in my garden, which brought about the beginning of Rosie Hay Ceramics.

 

Making pottery is such a calming and therapeutic 

experience for me. It’s something I hope to be doing for many years to come and I’m looking forward to the journey it takes me on.
